His Bendito Reserva is a little project of his own, inspired by his early years in Australia. Bendito means 'blessed' and sums up the idyllic conditions of the vineyards that supply this wine's high-quality grapes. They're not easy to cultivate - lots of rocky ground and little soil, gorges and ravines - but the vines struggle on and produce fruit of great depth. Offering delicious bold fruit, this Reserva blends Shiraz with Cabernet. Juicy blackberry, mint, cassis and appetising freshness, this is a supple, easy-going red that is delicious as a glass on its own or with sausage and mash, or at a bbq.
